On Tuesday July 22nd, the Irvington Fire Department's water rescue team trained with the Elmsford Fire Department's water rescue team. Both units went to the Irvington Reservoir where they deployed their Zodiac boats. Members got comfortable utilizing their boats and the teams worked together.
These combined trainings are very important as departments get comfortable working together as it is likely that at some point they might be called to work together during an incident. This particular training also allowed members from the Elmsford Fire Department to learn about various areas within the Irvington fire district in which they might be called on to assist.
