By Lieutenant David Dowd
August 19, 2014

On Tuesday August 19th, the Irvington Fire Department teamed up with Tarrytown's Tower Ladder 78 to drill on large diameter hose operations. Members of each department practiced on Irvington's ladder as well as Tarrytown's tower ladder. E-178 and E-177 drafted from the Hudson River and drivers were able to practice their drafting skills. Members were also able to practice using the deck guns located at the top of the engine's.

We want to thank the members of Tower Ladder 78 for joining the Irvington Fire Department in their monthly training night. It is always good to train with other departments before the next emergency.

Units: E-178, E-177, L-36, R-49, Car 2201, Car 2202, Car 2203

Mutual Aid: Tower Ladder 78
