Village of Irvington declares October 5th Frank Gilligan Day

The proclamation reads:

Whereas The Historic Village of Irvington is proud to be home to many dedicated and selfless citizens who are interwoven into the collective fabric that makes up our community; and

Whereas Rooted in a family with one hundred and seventy seven years of service in the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department, Frank Gilligan himself has served with honor for Fifty years, during which time there have been a score of Fire Chiefs, eleven Mayors, and nine United States Presidents, and

Whereas The entire Village of Irvington community extends its heartfelt thanks to Frank Gilligan for his many years of dedicated service, making our community a better place for all;

NOW THEREFORE

I Brian C. Smith, serving as Mayor of the Village of Irvington, do hereby proclaim
