On Friday evening at approximately 11:55 PM, the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Taxter Road for a vehicle leaking fluid. Upon arrival it was determined that a single car went in to the woods and took out a fire hydrant as well. All occupants were out of the vehicle with minor injuries and were transported to the hospital for evaluation. Thanks to the Greenburg Police, Greenburg DPW (for shutting off the water to the damaged fire hydrant) and IVAC for their assistance.
