On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department held it's annual inspection. Members worked tirelessly all week cleaning the trucks, apparatus bay, gear, upstairs/downstairs, and every nook and cranny in between. Visiting chiefs, local and state officials inspected our members and each of the apparatus.

On Saturday, October 4th, 2025, the Irvington Volunteer Fire Department will host its 145th inspection. Members have been hard at work cleaning and inspecting equipment, gear, and the firehouse. This year is equally special as we will be celebrating Ex-Chief Michael Colantuono's 50 years of dedicated service to the Irvington Fire Department. This morning shortly after 6AM, the Irvington Fire Department was requested to relocate to Elmsford fire headquarters to standby while Elmsford operated at a working file. While enroute, Ladder 36 was directed to the scene to assist in extinguishing the fire. Units operated in frigid temperatures and heavy wind conditions for several hours before being released.... The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning to alert people to an ongoing or expected critical fire weather pattern.

What is a Red Flag Warning: A Red Flag Warning means warm temperatures, very low humidities, and stronger winds are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger.
