The Village of Irvington celebrated being labeled a historic district on June 14th. There were numerous events and tours happening throughout the village during the day. The Irvington Fire Department had an open house and shared some of its historic memorabilia as well as providing tours of the fire trucks.

In addition, Westchester County Police Detective John Peters (and Ex-Chief of the Irvington Fire Department) was on hand with Daisy The Arson Dog. Detective Peters provided demonstrations on what he and Daisy do for the County Police and all of the fire departments in Westchester County.
