Rescue 49 Rescue 49 is first due on all technical, confined space, and water rescue calls. The rescue also supports firefighting operations with its cascade system capable of filling 100 air bottles and 30 foot - 6000 watt light tower. The Irvington Fire Department's water rescue unit is operates year round, and performs rescue and recovery diving operations in the Hudson River and lakes around Westchester County.
