Members of the Irvington Water Rescue Team were dispatched Monday evening to Freemont Pond in Sleepy Hollow to assist in the search for a missing boy. Upon arrival the team setup and deployed divers Pat Colantuono and Anthony Tarricone to an area suspected by Sleepy Hollow FD to be a probable location. Asst. Chief Ken Mastropietro and Lt. J Ruffler performed searches in the shallow areas using immersion suits. The divers, assisted by members on shore, made their way through the cold water, ice and deep sediment to perform their patterns. The divers found the young boy within 15 minutes in 8 to 10 feet of water about 30 feet from shore.
