| Irvington Firefighters braved a cold winter wind Saturday morning entering the icy waters of the Irvington Reservoir for their annual ice training session. Firefighters practiced both underwater and surface ice rescue scenarios.
During the first part of training, rescue divers submerged below six inches of ice practicing scuba and search skills.
The second part of the training evolution involved all members that attended. Each member donned their Sterns cold water immersion suit and practiced self-rescue and victim rescue. |
